Build the future of legal services
Come and build it with us.
Utterly is rebuilding how legal services are delivered in the UK. We pair real solicitors with software we write ourselves, and we use that to give people a better service at a fixed fee. One firm is live and three more are in build.
We are an office-led, AI-native team. Everyone spends at least three days a week in one of our offices (more if you want to) and works the rest of the week wherever they are most effective. AI is part of the daily toolkit, not a slide in a deck. We hire people who own their work, write clearly, and care about the result for the client.

How we work
Hybrid and AI-native.
People here work across the firms and the platform. An engineer ships features that every firm runs on. A lawyer shapes the workflow that handles the next thousand cases. The two sit close together, by design.
- Office-led hybrid: at least three days a week in an office, more if you like, and the rest wherever you work best.
- AI is built into how we work, so you spend your time on the hard parts.
- Small teams, real ownership, short distance from idea to live.
- We write in plain English, inside the company and out.
- Your work touches every firm on the platform, not one silo.
