We started by picking one hard, common legal problem and solving it properly. That firm is Settlement Agreement Solicitors. It launched at the end of 2020 to help employees understand and sign off their settlement agreements, quickly and at a fixed price.
It worked. Settlement Agreement Solicitors is ranked number one in Trustpilot's Employment Attorney category, with more than 8,500 reviews. That is our proof of concept, real clients, real results, at scale.

Why Utterly
Why we built Utterly.
Utterly was built by people who had seen the legal model up close and thought it was broken: slow, opaque, and built around the firm rather than the client. We started again from the client's experience, with customer-centric design at the centre of everything. Patrick Knight founded the group and leads it as Group CEO, with James Fairclough as Group Chairman and John Sheekey as Co-Founder and Group COO.
